Mumbles (Wales)
A gorgeous little sea side town just past Swansea if you’re coming from Cardiff. From London it you get on the M4 and it takes you all the way there or trains
Driving along Mumbles waterfront with a view on the houses up on the hills to one side and the water along the other. My first impression was Mumbles is definitely not Swansea. It’s the posh part of Swansea. You have people like Michael Douglas and Katherine zeta jones living there, Stacey from Gavin and Stacey and a few other welsh celebrities so yes it is a well sought off place. My cousin has just moved to Mumbles because he’s now playing rugby for Ospreys who are the local county team.
Mumbles this time of the year is very nice and slow or should I say normal. I can imagine it being summer it would pack out of people. It’s definitely a place to go to for the long weekend. There is so much to do anyway in the surrounding towns, coasts. You have golf, fishing, surfing, kayaking and many more. I spent this recent Christmas here in Mumbles and I loved it so I’m ow on the train heading back after nearly two months. I think I’m going to be seeing more of mumbles, the grower this year and why not when I have family to visit. It makes the trip even more worth while.
I’m hoping this weekend down in Mumbles will be even better especially with the six nations rugby going on so the atmosphere is what I will be looking out for. I’ve been to Wales to watch rugby a few times and I’ve always loved it because it’s a great atmosphere to be around in. “When in Wales” support Wales so I will be cheering on Wales this weekend.
Anyway to be continue… . .
